Samantha is an independent hairstylist based at Troupe Studio in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Samantha provides haircuts, styling and color services for all genders, with a special interest in hair painting / balayage highlights and color.

Samantha’s career as a licensed stylist began in 1994, after serving a New Hampshire State Board-supervised apprenticeship for the owner of a small, popular hair salon here in Portsmouth. Samantha is always seeking the most modern, fashion-forward ways to cut, color and style hair.

As an apprentice, Samantha’s Sassoon-trained instructor imprinted her cutting techniques as well as instilled the drive to further her coloring skills independently.

When Samantha worked for an Aveda salon, she availed herself of their in-house and out-of-state education opportunities, earning seven certificates in six years for color and styling. She is also fortunate to have trained with Oscar Bond, Ashlee Norman, Dante Pronio, Maria Booth, Rowena Hiraga, Pony Salon Education and Samantha continually pursue education opportunities classes via artists whom she admires and draws inspiration from.

Having had many years of experience with multiple color lines and products, Samantha prefer the Italian line Davines for highest quality and lowest environmental impact.

The accountability Samantha feels toward her clients and mentors inspires her to continually pursue excellence. Creating a beautiful world is something we can all contribute to in many ways! As for Samantha, first and foremost this includes respecting our environment and celebrating kindness and diversity. Professionally, Samantha strives to provide superior service and luxurious, wearable results.
